Programs Offered at NCE
Commercial Refrigeration Heating & Air Conditioning
At NCE, we provide HVAC Technician students with hands-on practical training in electrical theory and controls, basic plumbing and welding and soldering using oxy acetylene torches. Our students learn the knowledge and skills to install, service, and repair residential and commercial air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration systems. NCE graduates are prepared to test for industry-recognized certifications such as:
- ESCO EPA certification
- HVAC Excellence
- 410A
- OSHA
Electrician
Electricians are in high demand! The Electrician program at NCE prepares students to begin an entry-level career in the electrical industry. Students learn electrical code, wiring installation, conduit bending, motors and transformer systems, as well as manual and electric industrial controls, and more. NCE's program provides hands-on, practical training to give students real-world experience.
Graduates will be capable of working in residential and industrial maintenance environments and will also be able to execute new construction electrical work. Graduates of NCE's Electrician program will be prepared to test for the State of California Electrical Trainee (ET) certification.
Lab Assistant/EKG Technician/Phlebotomist
NCE's Lab Assistant, EKG Technician, and Phlebotomist program prepares students for success in a variety of entry-level positions. NCE students learn to perform many important procedures, including laboratory procedures for hematology, bacteriology, urinalysis, electrocardiography, and phlebotomy. Upon completion of the program, students are CPR certified and are prepared to obtain the California Phlebotomy Technician (CPT1) certification from the State of California.
Medical Assistant
NCE's Medical Assistant program trains students to fill a variety of positions in the medical field, including as a Medical Assistant, a Clinical or Administrative Assistant and a Medical Receptionist. NCE's program provides hands-on training so that students may practice in real life situations, rather than learning just from textbooks. NCE graduates will be prepared to obtain the National Healthcareer Association Certification from the NHA.
